A Good Friday Reflection By Dr. Jeff Webb There are moments in life when God feels… absent. Not intellectually absent. Not doctrinally absent. But experientially absent.
You know the truth. You can quote the promises. You believe He is there. And yet… it feels like He isn’t.
Prayers seem to rise… and hit the ceiling. Scripture feels quiet. Circumstances feel loud.
And somewhere deep in the soul, a question forms that most of us don’t like to say out loud: “God… where are You?”
We debate that question in churches. We write books about it. We build theological frameworks to explain it.
But on Good Friday… we don’t have to debate it.
Because on Good Friday… Jesus asked it.

Christianity 103, the third of three multi-session classes, is designed to equip serious Christians for an authentic, fruitful walk with Christ. SIGN UP HERE. This Sunday's lesson will be on "new life-new direction". See the full syllabus by CLICKING HERE. Don't miss out on this invaluable opportunity to learn and share. This week's lesson is the following:
Week 2 – Walking by the Spirit Theme: Power for daily obedience Key Focus: Dependence on the Holy Spirit, not self-effort Description: This week addresses the practical role of the Holy Spirit in guiding, convicting, empowering, and producing fruit in the believer’s life. Students will learn the difference between walking in the flesh versus walking in the Spirit, and how surrender—not striving—produces spiritual growth. Why it matters: Christian living is impossible apart from the Spirit; this session dismantles moralism and restores gospel-powered obedience. | |

We’re grateful for the many hands and hearts that serve so faithfully throughout our church family. As you prepare materials, plan lessons, or organize ministry efforts, please know that the church office is available to you as a resource—especially for printing and copying needs. At the same time, we kindly ask that the office be treated with care and respect. Areas such as desks, drawers, and cabinets—particularly around Lisa’s workspace—may contain private or sensitive information. For that reason, we ask that volunteers refrain from browsing or “treasure hunting” (as tempting as it may be 😊) through these spaces. If you need something and aren’t sure where to find it, we’re always happy to help—just ask! Thank you for your understanding and for serving so faithfully. Together, we can steward both our resources and our relationships well.
